Steve Levine of West Hartford took this photo in Dalvik, Iceland: “Fiskidagurinn Mikli (“The Great Fish Day”) is an annual celebration of Iceland's maritime bounty with free harborside exhibits, entertainment and samples of local seafood. My favorite was the raw Minke whale “sushi.” Set among majestic fjords and volcanic mountains, the August event draws thousands of visitors to Iceland's ruggedly beautiful northern coast.
