Real Estate Transactions FAQ
Where does the information come from?
Data provided by The Warren Group in Boston, publisher of the Commercial Record. The records are gathered from municipal clerks and assessors by a third-party vendor.

How often is the database updated?
Listings updated biweekly. Data is usually about 6-8 weeks behind the current date.

Why is information missing from a sale listing?
The listings in the database come from courthouse records. If the price or other information isn't recorded there, it won't be in our database.

Why can't I find listings from my town?
The Courant's database includes transactions from about 86 towns in Connecticut, most of which are from greater Hartford and fewer from Fairfield, New Haven and New London counties.
